Readi-Power: Determine The Size And Price Of Your Generator

If you are interested in the Readi-Power program call 1-800-334-1960 and speak to a Readi-Power representative.

The chart below provides some general guidelines to size and price a Readi-Power generator. Many factors impact the size and type of the generator required such as:

  • the number of air conditioning units
  • size of your home
  • homeowner association requirements
  • quiet generator needs
  • building code ordinances
                        Never Be Without Power Again!

The pricing chart shows whole house solutions, partial house solutions are also available, but it may not necessarily lower the cost. A whole house generator solution is defined as providing enough power to run your house as you normally do on a daily basis, it does not mean running everything in your home at the same time.
To use the pricing chart locate the approximate square footage of your home or the combined tonnage of your air conditioning units to determine the size generator you need and then look at the left hand column for the fuel solution that matches your needs.

Price ranges are examples only and may not reflect the actual price you will pay.  Everyone’s needs are different and several factors can add cost to your generator solution, including:

  • Type and location of fuel supply
  • Layout of your property
  • Placement of the generator to meet building code and homeowner association requirements

The only way to know the exact price a generator will cost is to provide more information about your needs and speak with and FPL Energy Services expert, who will help determine if your property meets all the state and local generator requirements. Once that is determined an appointment can be scheduled at a time that is convenient for you. Besides price another common question is time-frame needed to install a generator. The best advice is to get started early. Many factors such as weather and high demand can influence the time needed for installation.
